Some soda brands just don't resonate consumers, so they get taken off supermarket shelves, never to return.

The most memorable ones have worked their way into soda lore, refusing to be forgotten. Some have lingering fans desperately trying to bring them back.

Which of these sodas would you like Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group or others to bring back? Sound off in the comments.

Pepsi Blue

Pepsi Blue was introduced in 2002 to compete with Coca-Cola's Vanilla Coke brand. It was berry-flavored and very sugary. The brand drew fire for being colored with Blue 1, a controversial agent banned in some countries.

Years after it was discontinued in 2004, the infamous drink is still being searched for by some, but it's extremely difficult to find.

Surge

Coca-Cola's Surge was based off a Norwegian drink called Urge, and it's purpose was to dethrone Mountain Dew as the go-to drink for teenagers and extreme sports lovers. It hit shelves in 1996, but Coke decided to discontinue the drink six years later.

Some fans refuse to let their beloved Surge go though. Now, there are active campaigns out there still trying to convince Coca-Cola to bring Surge back, like the Surge Movement Facebook community.

Sprite Remix

Coca-Cola's Sprite Remix popped up in 2003, and it quickly developed a rabid fanbase. Coke would expand its Spirte Remix flavors twice in the next two years, adding Berryclear and Aruba Jam to its portfolio following the original Tropical.

However, in 2005, Coca-Cola decided it wasn't performing well enough and killed the brand — at least in the American market. Its website says you can still get the drink in Barbados, Canada and Turks & Caicos Islands.
